The Revere Music Parents Association regularly hosts events to provide additional financial support the Revere Music Programs to continue the tradition of excellence of music within the Revere Local Schools District. A portion of all fundraising monies may be applied to the general Student Trip Account to reduce costs for all music students traveling on a Revere Music Department sponsored trip. Please see below for our current Fundraisers.
The annual Revere Marching Band Invitational, typically held the last Saturday in September, is a much anticipated tradition at Revere. Revere hosts a fun-filled evening with wonderful musical entertainment from marching bands from several local school districts, as well as the Revere Marching Minutemen.
Tag Day is the major fund-raising event for the Revere High School Music Program. Held each year the second Saturday in August, money is raised through door-to-door fundraising, “tagging” neighbors for their monetary support and leaving them with a schedule of 5th through 12th grade music program performances.
RMPA collects items from your home you know longer want or need. These items are then weighed to determine how much is raised to be used for the music programs.
Throughout the year look for opportunities to eat out at or order from local restaurants where RMPA will earn a percentage of the total amount for that day or time frame. Look out for fliers and communications from Charms about these types of fundraisers. Check out the calendar too!
The Revere Minutmen Cafe is open for business at every Revere High Varsity Home Football Game! Proceeds from the concessions are a great support for the Revere Music Program. The success of our concession operations depends on the generosity of the Revere Music parents who give their time to coordinate and work the concession stands.
The Student Trip Account holds a portion of funds generated by RMPA fundraisers in which students are asked to participate. Approval by a simple majority vote of the membership present at a meeting is required to set the contribution level (if any) to the Student Trip Account for each such fundraiser. The percentage allocated to the Student Trip Account cannot exceed 90% of the net proceeds of a fundraiser, as per current Bylaws, 10% must be allocated to the Uniform Replacement Fund.
